Paul R Kerzel (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Paul Richard Kerzel, son of Paul Robert and Nellie Heggi Kerzel, was born December 23, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years, seven months, and twenty-six days.
On October 20, 1956, Paul was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Andres, and to this union two daughters were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Paul is survived by his wife, Margaret, of the home; two daughters, Michele Ainley and husband Larry, of St. Charles, Missouri, and Paula Carlson and husband Michael, of Owensville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Larry, Stephen, Bradley, Eric, and Karen; five great-grandchildren, Kalina, Desera’i, Kenzie, Noah, and Frances; one sister, Jean Miller, of St. Louis, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Paul was born and raised in St. Louis, and spent most of his life there. He spent his career working as a contract truck driver and following his retirement, he and Margaret moved to the Bennett Springs area to make their home.
While living in the Bennett Springs area, Paul enjoyed trout fishing and being a volunteer with the Bennett Springs Volunteer Fire Department. He also loved dancing, and attended many dances at the Hughes Senior Center. Paul had also served for many years as an election judge.
Paul was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, caring brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church or Lebanon Rehab South, and left at the funeral home.
