Paul Russell (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Paul Russell of Buffalo, MO was born and raised in Crowley, Louisiana. In high school he played football as a “wrecking ram” for Lafayette High School. He worked in the oil industry as a young man, then later in the optometry field. Paul loved to cook and entertain friends and family. With his love of Cajun food, his other passion was fishing. Paul was a kind, loving family man, always putting the needs of his family before his own.
He is survived by his two sons, Kyle and Matt Russell of the Kansas City area; grandchildren, Nathan, Sam, and Evelyn; his wife, Lisa Blake of Buffalo and brother Walter Trahan of Lafayette, LA. He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Blatnik Russell of 28 years; his parents, Helen and Irvin Akers of Egan, LA.; brothers, Hensley Bergeron of New Mexico and Robert Trahan of Egan, LA.
On June 26th, Paul left this world knowing his lessons of love and respect for others will not be forgotten. He will be greatly missed.
Mass of celebration will be at St. William's in Buffalo. Arrangements are pending.
