Paula G. Anthony (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Paula Gay Anthony, daughter of Paul and Marolyn Thomas Taylor, was born August 2, 1958, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, May 30, 2017, in her home, near Falcon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-eight years, nine months, and twenty-eight days.
On January 1, 1988, she was united in marriage to Herb L. Anthony, and they shared the last twenty-eight years.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a granddaughter, Alexandra Preiser.
Paula is survived by her husband, Herb, of the home; three daughters, Erin Preiser, and her husband, Philip, of Canton, Georgia, Jessica Young, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, and Amanda Graham, and her husband, Mathew, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Thomas Young, and his significant other, Heather, of Lebanon, Missouri; ten grandchildren; her mother, Marolyn Taylor, of Lebanon, Missouri; her maternal grandmother, Esther Thomas, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Terry Kellner, of Springfield, Missouri, and April McDaniel, and her husband, Mike, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1976. After she and Herb were married, they made their home near Falcon, Missouri, and lovingly raised their children. Paula had worked for the Leggett & Platt Corporation and was the branch manager of the Lebanon plant for twenty-seven years. She had owned and operated Always Flowers & Plants in Lebanon for the last several years.
Paula was an active member of New Home Freewill Baptist Church and had served as the church secretary. She was also very involved in the Freewill Baptist Association.
She had a love for horses and enjoyed riding whenever possible. She liked doing cross stitch projects, “junk shopping”, and had a fondness for shoes. She also loved animals of all kinds. She had a kind heart and was a generous and giving person. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren.
Paula was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
