Paula Sue Cunningham (Buffalo)'s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the passing of Paula "Susie" Sue Cunningham, age 75 years and 10 months, who passed suddenly on December 22, 2024 at her home in Tunas, Missouri.
Susie was born on February 13, 1949 in Tunas, Missouri to the late Mary Ruth and Earl Waldren. Susie was raised by Thelma Doyle, whom Susie called her mommy. She graduated from Tunas High School in 1967 where she loved playing basketball. After graduation, Susie married the love of her life, George Cunningham, Sr. on March 24, 1968. They resided in Tunas, Missouri and to this marriage they were blessed with three children, George, Jr., Lori, and Tammie. Susie was not only a loving wife but a devoted mother, granny, and great-grandma. She was a devoted homemaker for many years, but then she became employed with the United States Postal Service and worked in the Hermitage post office as a carrier for several years.
Susie loved helping the love of her life farm, she enjoyed fishing and hunting, gardening, canning, and was an amazing cook. She enjoyed picnics with family and friends, playing cards, and she made her children clothing. Most of all Susie loved being around her family and friends and she absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was so very hard to get a picture of Susie by herself because she was always surrounded by loved ones.
Susie was the glue to our family and has left a missing link to our family circle. For tomorrow is never promised, make sure you say what you need to say and do what you need to do with your loved ones because you may never get that chance again. "I have loved you with an everlasting love. " Jeremiah 31:3.
Susie was preceded in death by Mary Ruth Waldren, Earl Waldren, Boss Creach, Thelma Doyle, Felsie McCutcheon, Ray Doyle, and Johnny Dawson. She is survived by her husband, George Cunningham; three children, George Cunningham, Jr. & wife Tammy and Tammy's mother, Debbie; daughters, Lori and Tammie Cunningham; four grandchildren, Kaelee Long & husband Ethan, Carissa Fields, Dalton Cunningham and Tanner Smith; two great-grandsons, Liam aka "Noble" and Elijah Long; and an aunt who is more like a sister, Barbara Sweaney. She also leaves a host of family and friends who are sadly going to miss her.
