Pauline 's Obituary
Pauline Daisy Sharp, daughter of Arvil Willis and Grace Coonce Neasby, was born October 26, 1919, near Phillipsburg, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, October 25, 2007, in Christian Health Care North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-seven years, eleven months, and twenty-nine days. In 1939, she was united in marriage to Floyd Elmer Sharp, and to this union three daughters and one son were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd, on June 19, 1987; an infant son, Floyd Wayne Sharp; a son-in-law, Kenneth D. Burns; two brothers, Ray and Don Neasby; and two sisters, Letha Moore, and Faith Holiday. Pauline is survived by three daughters, Kay Draheim, and her husband, Robert, of Marshfield, Missouri, Millie Pendergraft, and her husband, James, and Sharon Burns, all of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard Neasby, and his wife, Shirley, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Ward Neasby, and his wife, Mary Ann, of Springfield, Missouri, and Ralph Neasby, and his wife, Fay, of Kansas City, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. She was born and raised in the Phillipsburg community. After she and Floyd were married, they made their home on their dairy farm, near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their daughters. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Pauline also worked as a school cook for over twenty-five years. She began her career as a school cafeteria cook at Liberty School, and then was the head cook at Maplecrest Elementary School in Lebanon for twenty-three years. Pauline made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and attended Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. She was a member of Washington Christian Church, near Lebanon for a number of years, and then later transferred her membership to Calvary Baptist Church in Lebanon. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her garden where she grew both flowers and vegetables. She liked to can her homegrown produce and also share some of it with her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and a talented seamstress, making lots her family’s clothing for many years. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren. Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and all that she accomplished and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:30 Sunday, October 28, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials to Calvary Baptist Church may be made through the funeral home.
