Pauline Reed Bennett (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Pauline Reed Bennett was born August 1, 1931 near Tunas, Missouri to Jesse D. and Ada Scott Reed. She passed away in Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the age of ninety-three years, eight months and twenty-nine days.
Pauline was raised in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1950. She lived in Davenport, Iowa following graduation before returning to Lebanon.
Pauline was employed in the office at the Rice Stix factory in Lebanon for several years. She also worked in several dress shops in Lebanon. Pauline also worked as an assistant in an optical office for Pat and Debbie Malone in Camdenton and Lebanon. She made many friends during her career.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ada Reed; her son, David Lee Henson; one sister, Willa Jean Kline; a brother-in-law, Bob Kline; and her brother, Earl Dean Reed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin Bennett of Lebanon, Missouri; her daughters, Karen Williams of Lebanon, Missouri and Patricia Forsythe and her husband Brett of Farmington, Missouri; seven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Sherri Meadows; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy Lowe and her husband Robin of Osage Beach, Missouri; and many other family member and friends.
Pauline accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was young. She and Melvin were most recently attending Second Free Will Baptist Church.
On January 29, 1981, Pauline was united in marriage to Melvin L. Bennett. They have shared over forty-four years of wonderful memories.
Pauline will be remembered for her love of camping, especially in Branson. She liked nice things and always strived to look her best.
Most of all, Pauline loved her family. She looked forward to being with them and loved the family get-togethers when they would celebrate holidays and other special events. Pauline was a caring neighbor and friend and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
A memorial has been established to the Gideon’s and donations may be left at the funeral home.
