Pauline Brown (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Marjorie Pauline Brown, daughter of Floyd and Flora Leibli Ash, was born November 19, 1930, in Sedalia, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, January 13, 2014, in Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, one month, and twenty-four days.
On August 12, 1950, she was united in marriage to John Henry Brown, and to this union four daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, on October 20, 1978; and two infant daughters, Marjorie and Brenda Brown.
Pauline is survived by two daughters, Rita Brown, and Julie Davis, and her husband, Ron, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Donald Brown, and his wife, Rowena, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jamie Brown, and his wife, Angie, Casey Johnson, and her husband, Nathan, Nicholas Brown, Amy Brandon, and her husband, Adam, and Ronald Davis; three great-grandchildren, Max Schooler, Seth Brown, and A. J. Brown; three brothers-in-law, Lee Brown, and his wife, Etta, Bob Joe Brown, and his wife, Patsy, and Bud Brown, and his wife, Nylene, all of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Eidson, and her special friend, Jimmy Burgess, Florine Vaughn, and Geneva Brown, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised by her paternal grandparents, Henry and Lydia Ash, in the Edwards and Climax Springs areas, and graduated from Climax Springs High School. After she and John were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their children. Pauline was a devoted homemaker to her family and also worked at the Rice Stix Factory in Lebanon. Later, she was a cook at Maplecrest School in Lebanon for several years.
Pauline was a longtime member of the Church of Christ and had attended the Hayes Street Church of Christ in Lebanon.
She enjoyed being outdoors and liked working in her garden each year. She also enjoyed quilting and helping raise her grandchildren. Her family was always at the center of her life and she was never without a smile.
Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her eighty-three years.
