Pauline Cochran (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Pauline Cochran, daughter of Joe and Pearl Jones Kelsey, was born February 27, 1920, near Conway, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, May 22, 2011, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-one years, two months, and twenty-five days.
On October 22, 1942, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Cochran, and to this union one daughter and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James and Harold; and two sisters, Lucille and Norma.
Pauline is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home; two daughters, Sandra Cochran-Hurt, and her husband, Byron, of the State of Texas, and Pat Bogan, and her husband, Victor, of O’Fallon, Missouri; two sons, Gary Cochran, and his wife, Soraya, of out of state, and Greg Cochran, and his wife, Barbara, of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren, Scott, Stephanie, Shawn, Chris, Jason, and Jeremy; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Conway, Missouri community, where she graduated from high school. She then moved to Jefferson City, Missouri for a short time before making her home in California. During World War II, she worked in an aircraft factory in California. During this time, she met and soon married Bob, in Yuma, Arizona, and they came back to Missouri. Bob began taking dental training and in 1957, opened a dental laboratory, where Pauline worked with her husband for seventeen years. Later, she owned and operated an antique shop and enjoyed attending trade shows where she sold fashion jewelry.
Pauline had made her profession of faith in Christ and was an active member of Phillipsburg Christian Church.
She enjoyed traveling, and had taken several cruises and made a tour of Europe. She also liked playing cards with her friends. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pauline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
