Pauline Loretta Fleetwood
Pauline Loretta Fleetwood, daughter of John Henry and Mary Bell (Hatfield) Cantrell was born April 7, 1921 near Marshfield, Missouri. She departed this life, Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri at the age of eighty-eight years, two months, and twenty-seven days.
She was united in marriage to Walter Leamon Fleetwood on April 4, 1940, and together they spent almost sixty-five years before his passing on April 4, 2005.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two infant sons and one infant daughter; nine siblings; and four nephews, Dale Cox, Keith Cox, Frankie Blair, and Eddie Jones.
She is survived by a brother, Glenn Cantrell, of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews including, Jo Simmons, of Seymour, Missouri, Christine Moser, of Joplin, Missouri, Sue Anderson, of Lebanon, Missouri, Wanda Wagner, State of Washington, Louis Rader, of Niangua, Missouri, Doyle Cox, of Mansfield, Missouri, Ronald Cox, of Salisbury, Missouri and Glen Cox, of Buffalo, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pauline grew up in the Marshfield area and following her marriage to Walter, they had made their home in Seymour. She was a devoted homemaker, and in her spare time she enjoyed growing flowers and loved spending time with her dog, “Buster.”
She was a very quite, kind, and loving lady, and was a special “Aunt” to all her nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. We celebrate her life and will cherish all the memories she created for all her family and friends.
Services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 7, 2009 in Holman-Howe Chapel in Seymour, Missouri, with Brother Fred Napier officiating. Burial will be in Hodge Cemetery, east of Seymour under direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour.
