She is survived by her seven children, Gary Bass and his wife Patti of Hartville, Ricky Bass and his wife Anna of Hartville, Kathy King and her significant other Mike of Lebanon, Timothy Bass and his wife Michelle of Hartville, Trudy Taylor and her husband Ronnie of Hartville, Heather Washburn and her significant other Eric of Hartville, and Shaun Bass and his wife Tracy of Hartville; one sister, Sugar Cook and her husband Eric of Mansfield; thirty-four grandkids; forty-four great-grandkids with two more on the way; six nieces; and a special friend, Joe Butts.
Pauline, better known as “Tood” to most of her family, was born and raised in Hartville, Missouri and was baptized at an early age. She spent most of her adult life on the same two acres raising all her children and grandchildren. Pauline liked to raise her flowers in the garden, tending to them whenever she could. She also enjoyed quilting and cooking, never letting anyone go hungry or cold. Most of all, Pauline loved being a grandma. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished being with them.
Pauline had a kind heart and would take care of anyone in need and often did. She raised several children that where not her own, but Pauline loved them just as much. Pauline was a warm spirit and loved everyone in her family very much. Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. We celebrate her life and many accomplishments and will always look back at the many fond memories we’ve had with her.
