Peggy Lee Brawn (Seymour)'s Obituary
Peggy Brawn, beloved wife, ‘Bonus Mom’, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, departed this earthly life October 22, 2020, at Cox South Medical Center, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-eight years, ten months and sixteen days.
The only girl and second eldest of five, she was born Peggy Lee Dickens on December 6, 1951, in Rochester, New York, to Leland and Nancy (Eagan) Dickens. She was a graduate of Spencerport High School in Spencerport, New York, in the Class of 1969. Peggy obtained her LPN nursing license in 1974, then earned her RN license in the early 80s.
She married Steven Keith Brawn on June 5, 1997, and together they shared 23 happy years. Peggy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2006. After years of loving her work, Peggy retired from nursing in 2016.
For several years, she and Steven owned and made the products sold at Anna-Belle’s Soaps and Lotions. She drove for the Amish community in her spare time, which had become a full-time endeavor.
Peggy professed her faith in Christ and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Gone before her was her father, Leland Dickens; brother, Daniel Dickens; father-in-law, James E. Brawn; and brother-in-law, Larry Brawn. Peggy leaves behind her devoted husband, Steven; her ‘bonus kids’: Joseph, Peter, Richard, Kirstine, Carl, and Melissa, and grandchildren; her mother, Nancy Eagan; three brothers, Tom and Linda Dickens, William and Melinda Dickens, and Bruce and Maria Dickens; her mother-in-law, Virginia Brawn; two brothers-in-law, Dennis and Cheryl Brawn, and John Brawn; and sister-in-law, Sheryl and Justin Steinmiller; many nieces, nephews and cousins; her church family, neighbors and many more dear friends.
