Peggy Loving's Obituary
Peggy Louise Loving, daughter of Leaford Hayden and Nellie Ophelia (Stewart) Edwards, was born August 13, 1933, in Quapaw, Oklahoma. She departed this life Saturday, June 16, 2007 in Century Pines Assisted Living, in Ozark, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, ten months, and three days. On August 11, 1951 she was united in marriage to Alfred S. Loving and to this union one son and one daughter were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; her parents; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Ellen Loving; and her companion, Paul McGonigal. Peggy is survived by a son, Sheriden Loving, of Rogersville, Missouri; a daughter, Pamela Barbre, and her husband, John, of Joplin, Missouri; six grandchildren, Connie Rash, John Rash, Anthony Rash, Ronald Rash, Sally Hirdler, and John Barbre, Jr.; eleven great-grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Daniel, Matt, Missy, Robert “Pooh”, Kyle, Steven, Emily, Destiny, and Braydon; three brothers, Larry Edwards, of Neosho, Missouri, Bob Edwards, Springfield, Missouri, and Leonard Edwards, of Miami, Oklahoma; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in Oklahoma and raised in Newton and McDonald counties in Missouri and graduated from Neosho High School. She lived in Flemington for two years before moving to Rogersville to live with her son. Peggy had made her profession of belief in Christ and followed the Baptist faith. In her spare time she loved spending time with her family and enjoyed all of the different activities at Century Pines. Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be at a later date. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
