Peggy Ann Hinkle-Redd was born July 19, 1947 and departed this life Tuesday, April
26,2016 at 2:30 P.M. at Citizen's Memorial Health Care Facility in Bolivar, Missouri,
at the age of 68 years, 9 months, and 7 days.
She grew up in Halfway, Missouri and went to school there as well. She was a
lifetime resident of Polk County, Missouri. Peggy was saved at an early age and
became a member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church in Van Town. She attended In The
Beginning Bible Study & Fellowship and was still an active member at the time of
her death.
Peggy Ann Hinkle and Al Kent Redd were united in matrimony on June 26, 1964.
There were two children born from this union, Darren Redd and Carol Redd. She
was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Hinkle & Eva Breshears-Hinkle, infant
sister Carolyn Hinkle, and brother Donnie Hinkle.
Peggy had many hobbies, which included crochet, quilting, and painting. She also
loved to collect and restore antiques and dolls. She loved to prepare and cook
delicious meals for family and friends. If any friends or family members ever needed
help she was the first one to drop what she was doing to lend a hand. Peggy always
handled herself with a great sense of class.
Peggy and Al Kent spent most of their married life as dairy farmers. They retired from this lifestyle in 2007. She currently worked with her daughter, Carol, at Polk County Title Company until her illness started in January of 2016.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Al Kent Redd; her son, Darren Redd, his devoted friend Charlotte Fernan of Bolivar, and her daughter Carol Redd-Bullard of Bolivar; four grandchildren: Stephen Redd and his wife Maria, Dakota Smith and his wife Mallory, Jonas Redd, and Cheyenne Bullard, all of Bolivar; her three great grandchildren: Shelden Redd, Jayse Smith, and Kimber Redd. She was also survived by her brothers, Billy Hinkle and his wife Shirley of Tennessee, and Ray Dean Hinkle and his wife Jeremy of Halfway. She also left behind a number of nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
We will forever carry her memory in our hearts.
