Peggy J. Rogers (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Peggy June Rogers was born December 18, 1932 in Lebanon, Missouri to Toliver Ivan Jones and Glyn Irene Chastain Jones. She passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 in her Lebanon home at the age of ninety-two years, four months and twenty-eight days.
Peggy was raised in Lebanon and on February 4, 1950, she was united in marriage to Clifford Donald Rogers. To this union, one son was born.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Clifford.
Peggy is survived by her son, Steve Rogers and his wife Debbie of Lebanon; her grandson, Aaron Rogers of Lebanon, Missouri; and a special niece, Becky Ruble of Lebanon, Missouri.
Peggy accepted Jesus Christ as her savior in 1945 at Glad Tidings Church in Lebanon. She was baptized at the age of twelve in Old Bank Branch in Camdenton, Missouri.
Peggy was a wonderful pastor’s wife to her husband for the forty-seven years he was in the ministry. She taught Sunday School and was the secretary/treasurer at the church for several years. Peggy helped with the music and singing at church. She also enjoyed playing the piano. Peggy loved the Lord and her family. She was a prayer warrior and many called on her to pray for them and their family.
She also was employed at Camdenton Five and Dime for a few years, then at Blair’s Cedar and Novelty.
Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, pastor’s wife and friend, who's kindness and encouraging, supportive nature was rooted firmly in her Christian Faith. Her trust in Christ and love for Jesus grew throughout her life and was the distinguishing characteristic recognized by all who knew her.
Service for Peggy Rogers will be Friday May 23, 2025, at Grace Calvary Full Gospel Church. Visitation on Thursday May 22, 2025 from 5:00 tp 6:30 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri.
Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
A memorial to The Cross Christian School has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
