Peggy Ann Rollins (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Peggy Ann Rollins of Long Lane, Missouri passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, in Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born June 20, 1941 in Houston, Texas to Wesley Sherrill and Katherine Schmidt. At the time of her passing, Peggy was eighty-one years, eleven months and twenty-three days of age.
Peggy was raised in the Houston, Texas area and graduated high school there. On May 16, 1957, she married her sweetheart, Willard D. Rollins, Sr. They were blessed with five children and sixty-six years of marriage.
Willard was a pastor and they lived several different places as he pastored different churches. When Willard left the ministry, he started driving a truck and Peggy rode “shotgun” with him for forty-two years, traveling together across the country.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty and her brother, Bobby.
She is survived by her loving husband, Willard Rollins, Sr. of the home; three daughters, Jeanne Davis of Long Lane, Missouri and Meachiel Farrow of Lebanon, Missouri, and Thersia Woods of Buffalo, Missouri; two sons, Wesley Rollins of Long Lane, Missouri and Willard Rollins, Jr. of Humble, Texas; twenty-four grandchildren; fifty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Brad Sherrill of Ohio and James Sherrill of Texas; and three sisters, Patricia Allyn of Oklahoma, Lynn Sherrill of Texas and Vanensia Sherrill of Texas.
In her spare time, Peggy’s favorite color was purple and she enjoyed fishing. She absolutely loved being with her grandchildren. They could make her eyes light up and her soul happy. Peggy loved all her family and her life rotated around them. The memories she made with her family and friends will be treasured for years to come.
