Peggy Webb (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Peggy Ann Webb, daughter of William and Alice Lanham Wade, was born October 17, 1954, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, October 23, 2017, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-three years, and eight days.
In December of 1977, she was united in marriage to Roland Mitchell Webb, and they shared seven years before his passing in 1984.
She was also preceded in death by her father; and a daughter, Asia.
Peggy is survived by three children, Audrey Webb, Jacob Webb, both of the home, and Nikki Underwood, of Springfield, Missouri; her granddaughter Kyra Smith, of Springfield, Missouri; her mother, Alice Wade, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Allen Wade, and his wife, Nola, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Debbie Mattes, of Eldridge, Missouri; three nephews, William Mattes, and his wife, Cori, Joshua Mattes, and David Wade; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Missouri, but was raised in Germany while her father was serving in the military. The family then made their home in California for a time. Peggy had lived most of her adult years in Lebanon, Missouri, where she was a devoted homemaker to her family. She had also worked at Tan-Tar-A Resort for several years. She recently moved to Springfield, Missouri and made her home.
Peggy had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church in Lebanon. She then had attended Faith Baptist Church and Phillipsburg Baptist Church for as long as her health would allow. She possessed a deep abiding faith in her Lord and Savior.
In her spare time she enjoyed reading, working word search puzzles, and gardening. She truly liked watching television programs on the HGTV and Food Network Channels. Her favorite show was Fixer Upper with Chip and Joanna Gaines. She genuinely loved people and made friends easily. She was fun loving and had a deep affection for cats. Her family was very dear to her and she enjoyed visiting with them.
Peggy was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A memorial has been established and can be left at Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
