On November 26, 1949, he was united in marriage to Artie R. Copling, and to this union two daughters and one son were born. Perry is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Artie, of the home; two daughters, Joyce Waterman, and her husband, Monte, and Melody Hawkins, and her husband, Lionel, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Gary Eddleman, and his wife, Carla, of Lebanon, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; a brother, Sam Eddleman, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Marlene Gollahon, and her husband, Dean, of Overton, Nevada; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Phelps County, Missouri. After he and Artie were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area and lovingly raised their family. For many years, Perry worked as a heavy equipment operator and also was a truck driver and a mechanic. He liked music and was a talented steel guitar player, having played with several area bands. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and rabbit hunting. In his later years he liked caring for his home and his yard. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
