Phillip T. Kingston (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Phillip Theodore Kingston was born September 23, 1935, to the late Donald Kingston and Harriet Hughes in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. He left the cares of this world behind on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Lebanon North Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri. At the time of his passing, he was eighty-eight years and twenty-two days.
Ted, as he was known by friends and family, was adopted by relatives Hurley and Myrtle Beitz Kingston at the age of four months. When he was older, he moved to Missouri and lived with his sister. It was during this time he joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country.
Following his time in the Air Force, he was employed by Empire Plumbing where he worked for over twenty-five years. Ted was a hard worker and had a zest for life. He was fun-loving and a real jokester.
He believed in the Lord and looked forward to spending eternity in Heaven.
In addition to his biological parents, Ted was preceded in death by the parents who raised him; his son, Steve Kingston; his siblings, Gloria Hess, Marion Cruz, Pastry Johnston, Donna Heller, Elizabeth Mensch, Donald Kingston, John Kingston and Charles Kingston.
He is survived by his children, Onica Dollins and husband, Mike of Spring Hill, Florida, Sterling Kingston of Buffalo, Missouri, Penny Kingston and Brenda Kingston of Washington State and Theodora Kingston Bird of Wyoming and Christina Kingston Phillips of Oregon; his siblings, Grace Kraft and husband, Thomas of Springfield, Missouri, Catherine Ehnes and husband, Steven of Lebanon, Missouri, Mary Ehnes of Versailles, Missouri, Margaret Mayne and husband, Robert of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Helen Schecklman and husband, Edwin of Boone, Iowa, Norma Priestley and husband Brian of Ainsworth, Nebraska, Thomas Kingston, Deborah Moore, Clair Kingston and Grace Kline; and two brothers, Sidney Kingston and his wife Julie of Urbana, Missouri and Mike Kingston and his wife, Renee of Macks Creek, Missouri.
Ted loved his family deeply and was loved by all. He loved country dancing and enjoyed being outdoors in the great Missouri Ozarks. Though he may no longer be physically present, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Graveside service for Phillip Theordore Kingston will be Friday, October 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.at Mount Rose Memorial Park in Lebanon, Missouri. Visitation will be Thursday evening, October 19, 2023 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established to the Kingston Family and donations may be made through the funeral home.
