Phyllis Ann Finch (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mrs. Phyllis Ann Finch, age 63, of Halfway, Missouri, departed this life early Tuesday morning, January 24, 2012, in her home in Halfway.
Phyllis was born on February 6, 1948 in Kokomo, Indiana, the daughter of Claude Haley and Mabel (Smith) Haley.
She graduated from Willow Springs High School, in Willow Springs, Missouri.
On December 21, 1981 Phyllis was united in marriage to James Finch.
Phyllis was a great wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a homemaker, a farmer, and an animal enthusiast. She loved elephants and always wanted her very own pet elephant.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Claude and Mabel Haley, her brother; John Haley, a baby nephew; Johnny Haley, and a daughter; Theresa Dyer.
She is survived by her husband; James Finch of the home, her daughter; Patricia Farmer of Hermitage, Missouri, her son; Darin Finch and his wife Maria of Stanley, North Dakota, and daughter; Lisa Cobb and her husband Rodney of Bolivar, Missouri, grandchildren; Russell Butts and his fiancé Tara Watts of Bolivar, Missouri, Ashley Butts of Bolivar, Missouri, Haley Farmer of Hermitage, Missouri, Tyler Finch of Branson, Missouri, Micala Farmer of Hermitage, Missouri, Triston Finch of Branson, Missouri, great-grandchildren; Aydian Cobb of Hermitage, Missouri, Eli Butts of Bolivar, Missouri, Kynnady Butts of Bolivar, Missouri, her sister-in-law; Missy Haley and her family of Pittsburg, Missouri, Her cousin; Emmielou Greene and her family of Oxford, Mississippi, her aunt; Elaine Williamson of Beaumont, Texas, her nephew; Michael Haley and family of Success, Missouri, her niece; Cindy Whittaker and her family of Dexter, Missouri, and an abundance of relatives and friends that will forever miss Phyllis.
Phyllis’ wishes were to have cremation.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, January 27, 2012, at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri, with Rev. Gray Nordan officiating.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
