Phyllis Bash (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Phyllis Ann Bash, daughter of Clyde and Pearlie Vincent Miller, was born September 4, 1937, in Lima, Illinois. She departed this life Sunday, November 22, 2020, in Northridge Place, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, two months, and eighteen days.
On October 6, 1957, she was united in marriage to Leonard C. Bash, and to this union one daughter and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Charles, Roger, and Rue Miller.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Leonard, of the home; a daughter, Lisa Polk, and her husband, Scott, of Denver, Colorado; two sons, Jeff Bash, and his wife, Tina, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Jerry Bash, and his wife, Cindy, of Palmer Lake, Colorado; five grandchildren, Cassie, Haley, Sam, Tyler, and Melissa; five great-grandchildren, Mahalia, John, Declan, Carson, and Jameson; a brother, Gerald Miller, of Quincy, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Illinois and after graduating from high school she earned her certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Once she and Leonard were married, they made their home in Colorado Springs where they lovingly raised their family. Phyllis worked as a L.P.N. for twenty-three years and also was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. Upon retiring, she and Leonard moved to Lebanon, Missouri twenty years ago.
Phyllis had attended North Five Freewill Baptist Church for the last several years.
She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for several years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the piano and made beautiful stained glass creations. She possessed a quiet demeanor until she had a special opinion. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation are requested and may be made through the funeral home.
