Phyllis Boyce's Obituary
Phyllis Lyda Marie Boyce, daughter of Ralph Verl and Florence Frickey Blair, was born June 24, 1935, in Bridgeport, Nebraska. She departed this life March 19, 2009, in St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, eight months and twenty-five days.
She was united in marriage to William Norman Joseph Boyce, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, along with one brother James Blair and one sister, Shirley Anderson.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Gela Warken, and her significant other, Jeff, of Grovespring, Missouri; and a son, William Norman Joseph Boyce, Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren, Raycee Warken, Nichole Warken, Christopher Warken, Natasha Wright, James Boyce, Warren and Daniel Warken; seven great-grandchildren, Clifford, Cera, Josh, Ryan, Raycee, Christian and Elizabeth; two brothers, Paul Blair of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Scott Blair of the State of Rhode Island; and a sister, Joy Hardin of Franklin, Indiana.
She was born and raised in Nebraska where she attended school. She later moved to Indiana where she met and married Mr. Boyce. They later made their home in California and after his passing she moved to Wright County in 2002 to be close to her family.
She centered her life around caring for her family, being a homemaker and a great mom. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, shopping and taking fishing and camping trips with the family.
Phyllis will be greatly missed and will live in our hearts forever. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends.
