Paul, I am so very sorry to hear of Phillis' passing. She was the same age as my mother. Truly hard to understand the Why? I have thought of her many times over the years. I've told so many people about my 1 and only 1 visit to Doc McQuay. I was in jr. high and had to have four teeth extracted (of course My dad loved the Doc) ha , so he dropped me off at the bottom of the "haunted stair case" and Mrs. Phyllis coaxed me in and to the "electric chair" from the 1800's...I will never forget how the Doc began the shots, thus hitting a nerve, I rose from that chair and the poor old Doc, pushed me back down and very loudly yelled "be still". Phyllis then pulled him aside and I don't know what she said to him, but he sat back down and was a different person. She didn't leave my side the entire time, while he pulled 4 teeth. She never let go of my hand until he had finished. She had the biggest heart of anyone. I always thought she was the most beautiful lady, inside and out. God Bless you sweetie. Just know that your adoring wife was very loved. My parents and I thought the world of her. Sincerely, Cissy
