Phyllis Eidson (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Phyllis Dean Leap was born June 17, 1926, in Windsor, Missouri, and passed away at home on February 11, 2017. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Glenn Wayne Eidson; parents, Jasper Leslie Leap and Reeta Lee Theresa (Miller) Leap; brothers, Raymond Leslie Leap, Donald Lee Leap, Kenneth Dale Leap; and sisters, Glenna Marie (Leap) Cooper, Brenda Louise Leap, and Sharon (Tabin) Shipman. She is survived by her brothers Paul David Leap and wife Judy of Macks Creek, Missouri, Gary Wayne Leap and wife Brenda of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Jackson Lee Leap of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters Virginia Roberta (Leap) Willis of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Donna Lee (Frederick) Jones of Waterloo, Iowa; children, Robert Leslie Eidson of Roach, Missouri, Stephen Wayne Eidson and wife Patricia of Roach, Missouri, David Lynn Eidson of Roach, Missouri, and Barbara Gayle (Eidson) Hodges and husband Donald, of Preston, Missouri; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Phyllis graduated as valedictorian of Camdenton High School in 1944 and worked as a secretary before marrying Glenn Eidson on February 12, 1948. She was saved at home when she was 26 years old and was a member of Lower Prairie Hollow Missionary Baptist Church at the time of her death. She loved fishing and writing poems, short stories, and gospel songs and played the piano at church for many years. She spent much of her time caring for her family and entertaining her grandchildren. In a world of givers and takers, she was a giver. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandma, and she will be missed by many.
Memorial donations may be made to Parrack Grove Cemetery, and left at the funeral home.
