Phyllis "Louise" Kincheloe Amos (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Phyllis Louise Kincheloe Amos, daughter of Francis and Eula Claxton Kincheloe, was born on July 12, 1927, in Wright County, Missouri. She departed this life on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at her home in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 98 years old.
On July 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to James Melvin Amos, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Milton Junior Amos, daughters-in-law Judy Carole Amos and Dora Amos, sons-in-law Frank Webb and Stephen Faris and step-great-grandchild Simon Faris.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Ferrie Ann Webb of Benton, Louisiana and Paula Marie Faris of Dayton, Ohio; one granddaughter, Holly Nicole Newman (Jeremy) of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandsons, Carlton James Church of Benton, Louisiana and Jason Todd Amos of Huntsville, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Courtney Louise (Kenneth), Carlton James Jr., Cameron Ray, Caleb Edward, and Madelynn Faith; two great-great-grandchildren, Langston Alexander and Casen James; step-grandchildren, H. Edward Church (Lorrie), Jason (Jaimey), Ryan (Rachael),and Megan (Bakr); step-great-grandchildren, Edward James (Elisabeth), Jacob Earl, Morgan, Miles,
Sophie, Lexi, Mohammad, Wafa, and Soleiman; and three step great-great-grandchildren, John Edward Lee, Wyatt James, and Walker Beau; her brother and sister-in-law, Ellis and Maxine Kincheloe of Lebanon, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a homemaker, not only raising her family, but also her granddaughter in Albany, Missouri.
In her younger years she enjoyed helping out at the local florist, driving kids to church camp and teaching Sunday school. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and their families. She was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Albany, Missouri.
Louise was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring
neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church in Albany, Missouri or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, in memory of Louise Amos.
Graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday October 26, 2025 at Mount Rose Memorial Park in Lebanon, Missouri.
