Phyllis Skidmore (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Phyllis S (Pickett) Skidmore, 90 of Bolivar, Missouri died Tuesday, April 16. 2019, in Bolivar, Missouri.
Phyllis was born in Springfield, Missouri, on October 20, 1928, the youngest child of George G. and Ebba Copeland Pickett Thomas. She was united in marriage to James H. Skidmore of Flemington, Missouri, on June 20, 1982.
In 2001 Jim and Phyllis moved from their farm at Flemington to a new home in Bolivar. Jim preceded Phyllis in death after 31 years of marriage. Phyllis was also preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters.
Phyllis was a graduate of Springfield Senior High School and Drury University. Her professional career included business office manager at Drury University and trust officer at Commerce Bank of Springfield.
Phyllis's family would like to thank her many caregivers as well as the entire Bolivar community for making her final years happy and comfortable.
Visitation for Phyllis will be Friday, April 19, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home, Bolivar, Missouri.
