Preston Dougan (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Preston James Dougan, son of Claude H. and Ada Leona Crisp Dougan, was born January 8, 1938, near Drynob, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, June 27, 2018, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, five months, and nineteen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Zoie Mai Dougan.
Preston is survived by a daughter, Amanda Moller, of the State of Michigan; two sons, Douglas Dougan, and his wife, Rebecca, of Branson, Missouri, and Stephen Dougan, of Linn Creek, Missouri; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Buennemeyer, of Harrisburg, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, and graduated from Lebanon High School. He worked at Detroit Tool for a few years, and then moved to Chicago, Illinois for a time. He made his home in Trenton, Michigan for thirty years, and was employed as a research engineer for the Ford Motor Company. About twenty-seven years ago, he retired and moved back to the Lebanon area.
Preston made his profession of faith and was saved at an early age.
He liked collecting things such as model cars and actual sports cars. He enjoyed raising cattle and liked living on the farm. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preston was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
