Pricilla Dale C de Baca (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Priscilla “Dale” C de Baca passed away on 3/16/2024 with family by her bedside. Since being diagnosed with cancer in fall 2016, Dale has fought and won several battles with health issues. This was her last good fight and God felt it was time for her to live with Him in peace and without further worries.
Dale was born in Aberdeen, MD in February 1950 to Jesse and Lois Jackson. Her father was a career military man, so Dale spent the first 17 years of her life living in various posts in the United States and 3 years in Germany. Dale’s father retired to Albuquerque, NM, where she met and married Jerry C de Baca in June 1968. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Army and he and Dale decided to make it a career. Dale spent the next 21 years moving from assignment to assignment, most of which was overseas. Dale was intelligent, inquisitive and adventurous. Traveling throughout the United States and to 11 foreign countries suited her perfectly. With all this moving, Dale was still able to have a successful career in banking. To this union were born two sons, Steven C de Baca and Mithcial C de Baca. Dale’s parents were born in Missouri and even after all her years of moving with the military, she always considered Missouri home. In 1997, Dale and Jerry moved to Polk County, Missouri and this was home.
Dale was preceded in death by her parents. Dale is survived by her son, Steven and wife Katherine C de Baca, their son, Carson C de Baca; grandsons, Davis and Christopher C de Baca; brother, Herb and wife Kathy Jackson; sister, MaryJo and husband Charlie Coleman and sister Annette and husband Kenny Bourguet.
Dale will not have a funeral service. She will be cremated after which she will continue to reside with Jerry. Upon his death, Jerry will join Dale and they will be honored by Steven, Katherine and Carson C de Baca with a small private ceremony. Dale has asked that if you wish to remember her, make a donation to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
