Raised in Kankakee, Quentin graduated from Kankakee High School and soon after entered the United States Navy. He faithfully served his country in the Korean Conflict for four years. Following his discharge from the services he married the love of his life Carol June O’Donnell and to this union a son and daughter was born. Shortly after he worked as a machinist and a farmer as together the loving couple raised their family.
Quentin was an over the road trucker and he traveled all the lower 48 states, Canada and Mexico. He was a lifelong carpenter and poured his heart into his woodworking, making many beautiful items for his friends and family to cherish. He enjoyed camping and spending time creating model trains.
Family, Faith and Country, was not a motto for Quentin, but truly how he lived his life. He raised his children faithfully, with watchfulness that protects. He was bold in faith and had a purity of heart. Quentin served his Lord by serving others, was charitable to those in need and loved his family. As a member of the Knights of Columbus, and as a Catholic, Quentin gave witness to faith in Christ and His resurrection.
Quentin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will forever cherish the memories he created for his family and friends.
