Quincy (Allen) Quigley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Quincy Allen Quigley, son of George and Charlene Marie Salmon Quigley, was born October 14, 1957, in Kansas City, Kansas. He departed this life Monday, May 28, 2012, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-four years, seven months, and fourteen days.
His mother preceded him in death.
Allen is survived by his father, George Quigley, of Lincoln, Missouri; two sisters, Leah Marie King, and her husband, Jason, of Tampa Bay, Florida, and Sarah Beth Carlsen, and her husband, Phil, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; several nieces and nephews; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; his best friend, Nicki Day, of Independence, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, and graduated from Washington High School. He then made his home in Louisiana, where he transported supplies to oil rigs for awhile. He also worked as a truck driver and in maintenance for several years. Later, he moved to Lebanon, Missouri, where he worked for Larry and Kay Peace at Larry’s Cedar Resort in Bennett Spring, Missouri.
Allen was a member of Community Baptist Church near Lebanon, and enjoyed cooking for the church cookouts.
He had been active in the Boys Scouts of America for several years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, deer and pheasant hunting, and camping. He liked to travel and had recently made a trip to Maui. He also enjoyed playing the guitar.
Allen was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
