Charlene was a history buff and she could tell you anything you needed to know about Laclede County. She was looked up to by everyone when it came to her knowledge of Laclede County. She also mapped out cemeteries and enjoyed doing genealogy research. It wasn’t uncommon for her to be called upon to help others in their genealogy projects when they would hit a roadblock.
She served on the Lonesome Hill Cemetery Board and the Laclede County Historical Society.
Charlene enjoyed spending time with her family, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. In her spare time you could find her doing puzzles and crocheting.
Charlene had a delightful sense of humor and was a fun person to be around. Words cannot adequately express the impact she has had on the lives of her family and so many others. She was truly a treasure and her loss has left a great void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
