Rabron W. Jones (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Rabron Washington Jones, son of Jeffery and Cora Davis Jones, was born September 17, 1930 in Howell County, Missouri and departed this life on January 9, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-eight years, three months and twenty-two days.
On September 24, 1954 he was united in marriage to Clara Duggan and to this union three children were born.
He was preceded in death by parents and sisters, Erma and Elsie.
Rabron is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Clara, of the home; two daughters, Teresa Simpson and husband, Russ, and Marsha Freeman and husband, Clay, all of Mtn. Grove; son, Michael Jones and wife, Debbie, of Mansfield; eleven grandchildren, Stephanie Guinn and husband, Chris, Jessica Williams and husband, Michael, Tyler Williams and wife, Jaclyn, Shyla Simpson, Brent Simpson, Sarah Forrest and husband, Shane, Katrina Lancaster and husband, Justin, Heath Jones and wife, Shana, Racquel Rosenthal and husband, Jonathon, Aaron Kilfoy and Brandon Kilfoy; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, James Jones and wife, Sue of Mansfield; sister, Esther Davis of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
He was born in Howell County and moved with his family to Arkansas where he was raised. After he and Clara were married, they moved to Kansas City where Rabron worked for Fairbanks and Morris Manufacturing. They purchased a farm north of Mansfield in 1955 and moved to the farm in 1956 where he lived the rest of his life. He was a beef farmer and had worked at Hutchen’s Industries for 10 years.
Rabron had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Mansfield Church of the Nazarene.
Rabron’s life passion was farming and spending time with his family especially his grandkids. Rabron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will always cherish the many special times we had together.
