Rachel I Caudle (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Rachel Isabelle Caudle, daughter of Mathias and Rebecca Daniels Davis, was born February 4, 1921, near Grovespring, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, August 20, 2013, in Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-two years, six months, and sixteen days.
On September 16, 1941, she was united in marriage to Oval Caudle, and to this union one son was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oval, on December 13, 1978; a brother, Floyd Davis; and a sister, Amy Austin.
Rachel is survived by a son, Marvin Caudle, and his wife, Colleen, of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren, Tifney Lentz, and her husband, Mike, of Richland, Missouri, Cheri Titus, of Lebanon, Missouri, Brad Caudle, and his wife, Monica, of Conway, Missouri, Carrie Grissom-Jones, and her husband, James, of Lebanon, Missouri, Casey Grissom, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Laura Wright, of the State of Arizona; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Grovespring community. After she and Oval were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area and lovingly raised their son. Rachel worked as a seamstress for the H. D. Lee Company for over twenty years, and yet always put her family first in her life.
Rachel had made her profession of faith in Christ and attended the Lebanon Church of the Nazarene for several years. She had recently been attending Community Baptist Church near Lebanon.
She enjoyed music and particularly liked singing at church. She also enjoyed quilting and gardening in her spare time. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rachel was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered for her loving ways and beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed.
