There are so many memories my mother have left me and my family and most are wonderful even in bad moments. Allow me to share a few.
Mom would often come home after leaving for work around 5:00 a.m., get home around 5:00 p.m. and make dinner for the family, and have a great joke or two to tell, find time to house clean and still have time to talk to us about our friends and how we were doing.
In my teen years, when I had a few problems (mainly a lead foot) she made sure I paid for my problems (literally, she made me pay insurance and the tickets).
When, as a teen, I joined the Army Reserve, and was sent to train, she would be who I would call for a voice of reason. She made it clear she was proud of me and to keep up the good job. She was the one I give credit for my 20 plus years of service when I went active duty, because she gave me the drive.
I know God has blessed me with this strong role model in life, and will try to remain strong in walking in life. I truly love my mother.
