Ralph Caviness (Camdenton) 's Obituary
Ralph Clarke Caviness, son of Ralph and Ethel Long Caviness, was born, December 30, 1933 in Camdenton, Missouri. He passed away peacefully, April 24, 2015, in Select Specialty Hospital, Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-one years, three months and twenty-five days with his family by his side.
On March 2, 1953 in Lebanon, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Eveline Frances Clark and together they shared sixty-one years of marriage before her passing on September 26, 2014.He was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by a daughter, Beth Jones and husband Al of Linn Creek, Missouri; a son, RC Caviness and wife Deborah of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Charlie and Tammy Jones of Bixby, Oklahoma, Melissa and Johnnie Starnes of Ozark, Missouri and Adrienne and Cody Stewart of Warren, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Tori Jones, Tucker Starnes, Jake Jones, Josh Jones and Coulter Stewart; a sister, Dolly Maria of Dover, Tennessee and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. All his survivors felt blessed to have him and are going to miss him every day.
Ralph was a native of Camden County and a life-long resident. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for many construction companies. He was a proud and life-long member of Local 101. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Ralph was a loving and compassionate man. He was a mentor to many young men; helping them choose the right path and offering advice. He never met a stranger and always made people feel welcomed. Most of all, his family was special to him.
Memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, and left at the funeral home.
