Ralph Edward Froiland, Jr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Ralph Edward Froiland, Jr., 86, passed peacefully amongst family the evening of February 19, 2022. Born May 27, 1935, to Josephine (Holmes) Downs and Ralph Froiland, Sr., loving husband, father, grandfather, friend. Ralph relocated to Lebanon, Missouri but lived much of his life in the costal California town of Ventura, with his loving wife, Pauline, and one lucky Labrador Retriever.
He was an ambulance driver stationed in Germany with the 63rd Infantry Division (1958-1964) (he would see Elvis on occasion). He loved football and baseball. He loved to spend Sunday’s during the season going to lunch at Julies Trojan Barrel and watching the LA Rams and USC Trojans at the Coliseum. He would travel frequently to USC and attended any Rose Bowl they made it to. He was a lifelong LA Dodgers fan and always enjoyed a game. It was a special treat this year that he got to see the Rams win the Super Bowl back to LA. He was a lifelong car nut who loved Fords and enjoyed restoring them. He was never without one in the garage to tinker with. He enjoyed playing golf with his best friend, Jimmy, and was truly proud of his first hole in one in 2017. He loved dancing, danced competitively, and won several awards. He was a contractor and builder. He built several homes in the San Fernando Valley area in the 1980’s, he managed a lumber yard and always talked about how you could see Neil Diamond’s home from Malibu Lumber when he managed it. He loved Neil Diamond and would play constantly in 80/90’s and always went to see him when he played the Greek in LA. He built beautiful spec homes frequently in Woodland Hills, California and always with amazing pools. He loved the sun and water. He managed a condominium complex in his retirement. Ralph loved life and living and was blessed with good health through almost all of it. Ralph is most lucky to have met Pauline and he got to spend the last 30+ years making memories and living with the best friend of his life.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; and his furry companions.
Ralph is survived by his wife and best friend, Pauline, his three children, Sons Paul Froiland, Greg Froiland, (spouse Cindy), and daughter Dayne Anderson (Spouse Craig), Stepson, Roger and his spouse Tanya. Eight Grandchildren, Alexandra, Charlotte, Jack, Garrett, Mackenzie, Stan, Jennifer, and Summer. One great-grandchild, Olivia Baker.
We would like to send out a special thank you to the Integrity team for taking such good care of Ralph in his final weeks. He loved Tasha and Matt for being so kind to him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a contribution to the donor’s choice of animal rescue be made.
