Ralph Oglesby's Obituary
Ralph Donald Oglesby, age 78, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Stockton Nursing Home in Stockton, Missouri. He was born October 18, 1931 in Edwardsville, Illinois to Lawrence Emerson Oglesby and Hulda Elizabeth Hueneger Oglesby. Ralph was Service Manager for a Machine Shop at Owens Illinois Glass for 22 years. He served in the Illinois National Guard and a member of the Masonic Lodge #1062 in Woodriver, Illinois. He was alo a member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri. He is survived by his two sons, Rodney Allen Oglesby and his wife Donna of Bolivar, Missouri, Robert Lloyd Oglesby and his wife Robyn of Parker, Colorado, a stepson, Thomas Tharp of Boise, Idaho, a stepdaughter, Lisa Mead of Austin, Texas, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm, Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Billy Russell officiating. Musical selections will be His Eye Is On The Sparrow and The King Is Coming by Lavonna Franklin with Tammy Kelly playing the piano. Ralph was privately interred at Crestview Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri.
