Ralph C. Richner (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Ralph Clay Richner, 94, a lifelong Bolivar resident, died at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO. He was born on December 11, 1919 southeast of Bolivar on the family farm to Ollie F. and Ethel Hook Richner. He was united in marriage to G. Karleen Davison on December 25, 1941. He was a WWII Veteran who spent 1942-45 as a sergeant in the 9th Air Force in the European theater. He spent his working career as a resident engineer doing field work for Frank Horton Construction Company and Allgeier, Martin and Associates.
Prior to moving to Warrensburg, he attended Berean Baptist Church, Bolivar. He considered Bolivar as "always his home" and he greatly missed Bolivar and his friends these past 3 1/2 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Karleen, on December 2, 1997, his parents, a brother, Weldon from Pleasant Hope, MO, and a son-in-law, Dennis H. Miller.
He always expressed much love and pride for his family. He is survived by his "six" children: Robert and Ann Richner, Warrensburg, MO; Janice and John P. McGaughey, Springfield, MO; Patricia and Steve Larson, Breckenridge, CO; his grandchildren: David and Sheila Richner, Daniel and Debbie Richner, Elizabeth and Thom Gravemann, Doug and Nikki Richner, all from Warrensburg, MO, Becky and Bradford Laubinger of Park Hills, MO, Alex and Kim Miller, Norman, OK, and Kathleen McGaughey and Adam Testerman, Portland, 0R; and his twenty-three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Pauline Redfearn, Houston, TX and many special cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
