Randall L. Jones' Obituary
Randall Lee Jones, son of Charles Ronald “Ronnie” and Dorothy Lee Hough Jones, was born July 31, 1963, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, April 26, 2007, in Lake Regional Hospital, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of forty-three years, eight months, and twenty-five days. On September 16, 1994, he was united in marriage to Merchell Annette McKee, and together they shared the last twelve years. His parents preceded him in death. Randy is survived by his wife, Merchell, of the home; two sons, Brandon Jones and Airin, and Steven Jones, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a grandson, Kaleb Jones; a sister, Nancy Hyman, and her husband, Brad, of Simi Valley, California; his maternal grandmother, Lavona Sturdevant, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. He was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1981. He worked with his father in the operation of Ronnie’s Market in Lebanon for several years, before moving to Kansas City, Missouri. He then worked at a new and used car dealership until moving to Rocky Mount two years ago. Since making his home in the Lake area, he had worked in the construction business. Randy had attended a Pentecostal church in Liberty, Missouri. He enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He also liked playing poker, particularly Texas Holdem. He was full of life, was a hard worker, and enjoyed having fun. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his sons and grandson. Randy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and grandson, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate and honor his life and will hold tightly to the wonderful memories he made with his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 - 5:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
