Randell D. Barham (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Randell ‘Randy’ Delane Barham, born September 13, 1936, to Leota (Pritchard) Barham and Clark Barham, died April 18, 2011, after an eight-month battle with cancer.
Randy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janice (Vincent) Barham; daughter, Cindy Francka and husband Bernard, Jr.; son David, and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Jenny, Brad, B.L., Mallory, Sam and Ben; great-grandson, Casey, his mother, Leota; his sister Doris and her husband Dean Haguewood and brother-in-law, Deral Vincent and wife Joan, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his Dad, Clark Barham in November of 1980.
Randy was saved as a young man at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, where he joined, and remained a member and deacon until his death.
A 1954 graduate of Halfway High School, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
From 1968-1981, Randy and Clark owned and operated the local John Deere dealership. After Clark’s death, the ownership transferred and Randy became a full-time cattleman on the family farm at Halfway, raising beef cattle. He loved the cattle and the land.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011at 11:00am in the Butler Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gary Fulbright and Brother Doyle Mayfield officiating. Music will be by the community choir with Sharon Westfall as pianist. Pallbearers include: Bob Andrews, Bob Glover, J.C. Meador, Junior Roweton, Morris Westfall and Craig Westfall. A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00am, Saturday just prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, in Bolivar, Missouri.
Memorial donations may be made to Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society in his honor though the Butler Funeral Home.
