Randolph L. Claxton's Obituary
Randolph “Randy” Lindsey Claxton, son of Daris Haden and Annabell (Marquis) Claxton, was born December 28, 1946, in Marshfield, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, January 27, 2008, in his home in Topeka, Kansas, at the age of sixty-one years, and twenty-nine days. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dwaine Claxton; and his grandmother, Stella Marquis. Randy is survived by a daughter, Lindsay Ann Claxton, of Prairie Village, Kansas; two brothers, Gary Claxton, and his companion, Jane Ann Morrison, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Victor Claxton, and his wife, Rosalie, of Seymour, Missouri; a sister, Joanna Cornelison, and her husband, Keith, of Seymour, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was raised in Seymour and graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 1964. He then entered the United States Air Force and was stationed in Seoul, South Korea. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where he worked for Wyssmann Meat Company for many years. He then moved to Prairie Village, Kansas and later moved to Topeka. Randy had made his profession of belief in Christ and followed the Pentecostal faith. In his spare time he enjoyed designing arts and crafts, going fishing, and loved to watch NASCAR. Randy was a loving father, brother, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Seymour. Burial will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
