Ray Dean Jeffries' Obituary
Effie Ray Dean Jeffries, daughter of John Robert and Francis Dean Fisher Eidson, was born November 4, 1919, in Camden County, Missouri. She entered into eternal rest December 11, 2009, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri, with her daughter, family and friends at her side. She was united in marriage to Finis “Buck” Cyrus and to this union two daughters were born. After his death, she was married to Benny Wilson, who also preceded her in death. She later wed Ed Jeffries. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Glenn W. Eidson; two half-brothers, Audie and Dorsey Eidson; a half-sister, Cleo Webster and her beloved daughter, Linda Cyrus. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sue Cyrus of Kansas City, Missouri, with whom she resided. In addition, she is survived by numerous nephews and nieces, and many friends who loved her and will miss her humor, strength and loyalty. Ray Dean was raised in Camden County. She lived for a time near her daughter in Peculiar, Missouri, then moved to Kansas City to be with her other daughter. Ray Dean was saved and baptized in 1931 at Parrack Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She later became a member of Fist Baptist Church in Macks Creek. In her spare time, she enjoyed flowers, gardening and traveling. She was a loving mother and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 16, 2009 at the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Macks Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until time of service under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri. Return to top
