Ray Sanders (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Ray Sanders, well known as Junior, age 67, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Parkview Healthcare Facility.
Ray was born August 27, 1949 to Ray and Lela Sanders in Polk County. As a young man, Ray joined the U.S. Army. He would later come back to live at home in Polk County. He lived with his companion, Beverly Knox, for 21 years in Bolivar, Mo. Together they loved to fish, go to yard sales, and go to the casinos.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lela, his brothers; Carl Jr., Gary, Bob, Frank, and Claudy, and his sisters; Sharon Kay Sanders, Melva Faulkner, Betty Cruse, Etta Hayes, and Wanda Hildebrand.
Junior is survived by his companion Beverly Knox of Bolivar and her children; Johnny Glantz of Rogers, Arkansas, Marilyn Hanson of Bolivar, Tammy Lay of Sapula, Oklahoma, and several grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Imogene Sanders and Donna Sanders of Bolivar, as well as his sisters-in-law, Jerry Sanders and Frances Sanders. Ray also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
He will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral Services for Ray Sanders, Jr. will be held Monday, September 26th at Butler Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be Sunday, September 25th from 1:00-3:00 at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Mo.
