Raymond "Jinks" Young (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Raymond L. Young, son of Wayne and Zenia Turley Young, was born September 5, 1948 in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life on May 18, 2019 at his home in Mansfield, Missouri at the age of seventy years, eight months, and thirteen days.
On February 24, 1969 he was united in marriage to Karol Todd and to this union two daughters were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bradley Johnson, Donald Young, Dwight Young, Darrell Young, and Robert Young, sisters, Carol Henry and Willa Mae Johnson. Raymond is survived by his wife, Karol, of the home; two daughters, Kelly Taylor and husband, Mark, and Lawanda Campbell all of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Summer Taylor, Dusty Taylor and wife, Jasmine, Arik Dennis and Collin Campbell all of Mansfield, and Sharice Jarrett and husband, Landon, of Rogersville; six great-grandchildren; brother, Carlos Young of Mansfield; many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. He was raised near Mansfield and lived all of his life here. He worked for the City of Mansfield where he was the supervisor of the electric department for 13 years and then was self- employed until he retired. In his spare time, he enjoyed race cars, coon hounds, roosters and breaking horses. Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and have many fond and fun memories that we will always cherish.
