Raymond Andrew Martel, Jr. (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Raymond Andrew Martel, Jr., (Pops) 69 of Stockton, Mo. passed away on June 8, 2021 at Cox Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Raymond was born in Independence, Mo. on March 7, 1952 where he attended William Chrisman High School. He was employed at Ford Motor Company through out the 70’s and 80’s. Following his departure from Ford Motor Company he enjoyed several endeavors in the concrete and roofing industries. He was currently employed at Hammons Walnut Factory located in Stockton, Mo.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Martel, Sr. and Pauline Martel and sister Paula Rumsey.
Raymond is survived by two brothers Jim Martel (Marilee) and Bob Martel (Ann), two sisters Pauline Moyer (Charlie) and Patty Hazelrigg (Terry), two Daughters April Haslock (John) and Rachel Jones (Dennis), ten grandchildren Joey Zanoni (Jessica), Timbra Rummel (Miguel), Johnni Mehl (Tristen), Toby Haslock, Tanner Jones (Destiny), Hunter Jones (Leah), David Jones (Tristen), Jonnie Shoemaker (David), Katryna Haslock (Dylan), Jon Haslock (Brittany), fifteen great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
Raymond had a huge heart and loved spending time with his family. You couldn’t help but notice how his bright blue eyes lit up and the smile that over took his smoothly shaven face when anyone of his littles would run up to him, arms wide open and give him a big squeeze. He also enjoyed fishing and barbequing. He loved a good pork steak on the grill. Raymond will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Memorial service to be held at Life Church located in Humansville, Mo. June 17th at 6:00 p.m.
