Raymond William, Sr. Garson's Obituary
Raymond William Garson, son of Richard August Garson, Sr. and Minnie Annette Humphrey, was born February 4, 1970, in Denver, Colorado. He departed this life Sunday, May 6, 2007, in his home, in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of thirty-seven years, three months, and two days. On July 18, 1997 he was united in marriage to Kelley Ann Amburgey and to this union one son was born. He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandfather, William Lee Humphrey; and father-in-law, Carl Amburgey. Raymond is survived by his wife, Kelley, of the home; a son, Raymond Garson, Jr., of the home; a brother, Kenny Garson, of Seymour, Missouri; a sister, Penny Garson, of Abilene, Texas; his maternal grandmother, Minnie Humphrey, of Seymour, Missouri; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Barbara Kearns, of Hartville, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Tonya Garson, of Mansfield, Missouri, Lynn Berry and her husband, John, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Kim Polly, and her husband, Mike, of Ermine, Kentucky; two brothers-in-law, Wesley Kearns, and Junior Kearns, and his wife, Casey, all of Hartville, Missouri; five nephews, Ricky, Devin, Shawn, Justin, and Austin; three nieces, Bryanna, Kimber, and Crystal; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Denver, Colorado and moved with his family to Seymour, Missouri in 1980. He graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 1988 and worked as a chef at various restaurants in Springfield. He was a member of the Boy Scouts in Seymour. Raymond had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching cooking shows on television, and was a huge NASCAR fan. Raymond was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
