Rebecca Ellen Loving's Obituary
Rebecca Ellen Loving, daughter of Richard Paul and Gwendolyn Pearl Graham McGonigal, was born January 7, 1968, near Doniphan, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, March 20, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of thirty-eight years, two months, and thirteen days. On February 2, 1990, she was united in marriage to Shirden Hayden Loving, and together they shared the last sixteen years. Her parents, and two brothers, Ervin “Joe” and Timothy McGonigal, preceded her in death. Rebecca is survived by her husband, Shirden, of the home; four sisters, Tammy Payton, of Springfield, Missouri, Valerie Simmons, and her husband, Ed, of Preston, Missouri, Paula Kay Cohn, and her husband, David, of Springfield, Missouri, and Delvina Mason, of St. Louis, Missouri; three brothers, Rick McGonigal, of DeSoto, Missouri, Pete McGonigal, of Odessa, Missouri, and Steve McGonigal, and his wife, Lori, of DeSoto, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in Hunter, Missouri and in Seymour, Missouri. She then made her home in Neosho, Missouri where she met and married Shirden. They eventually moved to Rogersville and made their home. Besides being a devoted homemaker to her husband, Rebecca also worked as an accountant with Houston C.P.A. in Springfield, Missouri. She was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews with whom she shared a special bond. Rebecca was a loving wife, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Visitation will be held from 7 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Seymour. Arrangements are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
