Rebecca Ann Holland (Lebanon)'s Obituary
It is with immeasurable sorrow that the passing of Rebecca Ann Holland is announced.
Rebecca is survived by her husband Wade Holland and her parents Kelly (Momma) and Erik . Also by her loving Grammy (Gram) and several aunts and uncles and many cousins. All of whom are forever changed by her sudden and unexpected passing. She is preceded in death by her loving Pepere ( Pep or “Pepsi” as she would say.)As a child, Rebecca was delightful and would wake up with a smile on her face. She was the apple of her mother’s eye. Raised by a single mother who was working and going to school herself, Rebecca was a great help and encourager. Growing up with many things to do, she was a trouper through it all. Time was always made for games and fun together, and even the most mundane tasks were turned into enjoyable experiences together. Rebecca was a joy to her family and though there was always “ something next” to be done, she never complained. Rebecca attended Hillsboro Baptist School from K-4 on through grade 12 where she graduated Valedictorian. A brilliant mind, she excelled in her studies. She was loved by many friends whom she grew up with and was viewed as an asset to the school by her instructors. Rebecca loved to play volleyball and did so on her team with immense passion. As Rebecca grew through her teenage years, she discovered she had a great talent for art; drawing and painting. She enjoyed doing so well into her adult years, creating some beautiful artwork in fine, painstaking detail. She also loved to metalsmith, creating lovely and unique pieces of jewelry and had dreamt of doing so on a full time basis. Rebecca had a jovial energy about her, whether it was a funny little dance move or a comical viewpoint, she could make one laugh uncontrollably at times. She was a light to any room and an individual who was a friend to the friendless, a loyal companion and she carried a sensitive heart for those less fortunate than herself. In her brief 33 years in this world, she made a lasting impression in the hearts of all who knew her and cared about her, and she will forever live on in those hearts. Having been born again at a young age, she had a close relationship with the Lord and is certainly resting forever with Him. We take comfort in the fact that she is in Jesus’s presence where there is no struggle, no pain, no disappointment and only joy, light and love unfathomable. It is not “goodbye” Rebecca, it is “see you later”. You are loved, Rebecca, “bigger than the sky…”
