Rebecca "Becky" Jenkins (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Jenkins, née Patterson, aged 74, died Tuesday, November 18th, in Buffalo, Missouri. She passed away in the comfort of her home and in the company of her family. According to her wishes, she will be cremated. Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Elise Patterson, who welcomed her into the family on November 28th, 1950, in San Diego, California. She would become the eldest of seven children, with five younger brothers, Eric, Scott, Brian, Grant, and Brett Patterson, and a younger sister, Marilyn Sowers (née Patterson). She is survived by her husband, Richard “Punky” Jenkins, m. 1974, and their three children, Jody Butler, Heather Curtis, and Matthew Jenkins. She is also remembered fondly by her six grandchildren, Richard Gudreau, Hayden, Abigail, Landen Curtis, and Mateo and Layla Jenkins. As a lifelong dog-lover, Becky is expected to meet many old friends at the ‘rainbow bridge.’ She was an avid reader, one lucky gambler, and she took pride in her garden and other creative projects. She loved the ocean, and autumn. A sunny So-Cal native, she moved to Missouri in 2005, where she became the proud owner of her long-wished-for country house, three donkeys, and her first pair of good winter boots. Friends and family will remember Becky as a strong woman, and always, always a “VIP.”
