Rebecca L. Smith (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Rebecca Love Smith, daughter of Robert Leroy and Evelyn Leona Riddle Tiggemann, was born August 29, 1952, in Iowa City, Iowa. She departed this life Saturday, October 1, 2011, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of fifty-nine years, one month and two days.
She was united in marriage to Richard Donald Smith and to this union two children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Doug White.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Smith; two daughters, Rachel Stevens and Rachelle Smith all of Roach, Missouri; three grandchildren, Richard Smith, Westen Day and Abigale Day; four sisters, Vonnie Henthorne and husband James of Edwards, Missouri, Lona Pottorff of Climax Springs, Missouri, Renee Patton of Edwards, Missouri, and Lawana Miller and husband Joseph of Camdenton, Missouri; two brothers, Keith Tiggemann of Camdenton, Missouri, and Scott Tuey and wife Malinda of Clever, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Rebecca "Becky" was raised in Iowa and in her late teens moved to Lebanon, Missouri. During her life, she and her husband lived in Prim, Arkansas, before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2000. Becky was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She spent much of her time as a housewife, caring for her family.
In her spare time she enjoyed painting, knitting and genealogy. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, especially cross word and jigsaw puzzles. Through her life, Becky treasured family and home most. She enjoyed life to the fullest and found great joy in helping others. She had a positive attitude and a strong determination.
We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed and we loved her dearly. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
