Renee Meglan's Obituary
Reneé Michele Meglan
Reneé Michele Meglan, daughter of James Anthony and Marcia Mae Savako Davis, was born January 1, 1971, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, January 14, 2010, in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, at the age of thirty-nine years and thirteen days.
On July 25, 1992, she was united in marriage to Kurt James Meglan, and to this union a daughter and son were born.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jake and Verna Davis; her maternal grandfather, Roman Savako; a brother, James Michael Davis; and her mother-in-law, Kathey Meglan.
Reneé is survived by her husband, Kurt, of the home; her children, Allison Grace and Jacob James; her parents, James and Marcia Davis, of Hartville; a brother, Scott Anthony Davis and his wife, Tina, of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sisters, Pamela Louise Hutsell and her companion, Jerry Chadwick, of Halfway, Missouri, and Joycelyn Corey Cohron and her husband, William, of Winder, Georgia; her maternal grandmother, Therese Savako, of Ravenna, Ohio; her father-in-law and step-mother-in-law, Jim and Robin Meglan, of Manteca, California; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin and Cori Meglan, of Osage Beach, Missouri; her very special best friend, Mellisa Pompe, of Rocheport, Missouri; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Born in Chillicothe, Missouri and later her family moved to Sedalia, Missouri for a few years before moving to Sherman, Texas, where she spent her teenage years and graduated from high school. It was there she met the love of her life but destiny didn’t bring them together for awhile. She moved to Hartville and made her home after which Kurt and she were married. They together founded Meglan Marketing , and worked side by side. She was a very talented writer, graphic designer and sales woman.
Reneé had professed her faith in Christ and the love of God shown through her. Her genuinely nice and caring spirit always had a helping hand and a smile to give to others. She wanted to make a difference in other children’s lives by taking the time to be a Girl Scout Leader and serving as the President of the Hartville School PTO.
She LOVED being a mom, and her favorite pastime was being with her family. Together traveling, being outdoors, fishing or just having a talk, gave her great joy.
Reneé was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter and a trusted friend. She will continue to live on by the beauty of her touch that was left with others. We will treasure the memories she created. She will be greatly missed and will forever live in our hearts.
